The control unit used in conjunction with Sungrow’s high-performance modular high-voltage power storage system SBR enables the operation of three to eight separately available SBR battery modules, each with a capacity of 3.2 kWh. The SBR battery system is fully compatible with the Sungrow series SH5.0-10RT and SH3.0-6.0RS inverters.

With its SBR series, the manufacturer Sungrow has developed an innovative and high-performance modular high-voltage power storage system for photovoltaic systems. This system is composed of battery modules managed by a central control unit.
The control unit of the SBR power storage system can simultaneously operate three to eight stackable battery modules with 3.2 kWh capacity each. This allows a flexible power range from 9.6 kWh to 25.6 kWh. In addition, it is possible to switch four such towers in parallel, which can even achieve an impressive power range of up to 102.4 kWh.
It is important to note that a tower must always have at least three battery modules. However, the number of battery modules can be expanded as needed at any time.
The Sungrow SBR096/128/160/192/224/256 storage system has an integrated energy optimization and is seamlessly recognized in conjunction with the Sungrow SHxxxRT and SHxxxRS series inverters. These systems can be easily and optionally extended, either by adding additional battery modules or by adding another complete battery tower.
Advanced multi-stage battery management (BMS) technology integrated into the control unit ensures durability, efficiency and reliability. It protects the battery modules from incorrect operation, coordinates the optimal control of charging and discharging processes, monitors the condition, age and discharge depth of the batteries as well as intelligent charging cycles that are Thermal management and overload are optimized.
