The manufacturer Sungrow presents its SBR series, a brand new, extremely efficient modular high-voltage power storage system for photovoltaic systems. This system consists of three battery modules, each with a capacity of 3.2 kWh, which are controlled by a control unit. Overall, this complete package offers an impressive storage capacity of 12.8 kWh, with the three battery modules and the control unit forming a compact tower. The flexibility of the system is demonstrated by the fact that it can be retroactively expanded with up to eight battery modules, which allows a maximum capacity of 25.6 kWh. These extensions can be scaled up to an impressive 102.4 kWh by switching four such towers in parallel.

The Sungrow SBR096/128/160/192/224/256 storage system offers integrated energy optimization and automatically detects the Sungrow SHxxxRT and SHxxxRS series inverters. These systems can be extended later in a convenient way and according to the requirements, whether by additional battery modules or a complete additional battery tower.

The modern multi-stage battery management system (BMS) in the control unit ensures longevity, efficiency and reliability. It protects the battery modules against malfunctions, coordinates optimal control of charging and discharging processes, monitors the condition and ageing of the batteries as well as the discharge depth. It also intelligently controls the charging cycles and optimizes them in terms of speed, thermal management and overload.

Another plus point is the extremely quiet operation of the device, as it has a natural convection cooling and no annoying fans are installed.
